I picked these up at Target and I love them! I carry one with me all the time, I have so many ideas running through my head.
{List}
I became a list maker right after becoming a mother.
I don't think anything would get done if I didn't have a place to remind myself of what to do from cleaning to breathing.
{EOS lip balm}
I love this stuff! It's Gluten-free, Paraben-free, Petrolatum-free, Phthalate-free. The better to smother my son in kisses with.
I carry a mint one in my diaper bag and the rest are scattered in the car, nightstand and other purses.
They also keep Reese entertained, he loves to smack them together and bite them (If you let your baby play with these always make sure the tops are tightened otherwise they will take a bite out of them, they smell and taste delicious)
Clockwise: {EOS in summer fruit, Rose Salve, Maybelline Colossal Volume Express and Clinique Chubby Stick}
The Rose Salve is good on everything from dry elbows to chapped lips and it smells so good.
I like this mascara even more than Lash Blast.
The chubby stick leaves the right amount of color without looking to bright... problem is it doesn't stay on too long.. especially after smothering Reese and Kye with major kisses.
{EOS Berry Blossom hand lotion}
It smells AMAZING and makes my skin so soft and not greasy.
{Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick}
I've already posted about this, but I seriously can't get over how amazing this lipstick is... it stays on for so long and is the perfect color for me.
I'll defiantly be picking up another once this runs out.
We are currently fall shopping for Reese' new wardrobe.
As you can see, our style is pretty schizophrenic... I let Reese choose t-shirts.
Right now he is into: monsters, dinos and Yo Gabba Gabba.
I must say, the kid has pretty good taste.
He lets me know when he is into something by screaming AHHHHH and grabbing it out of my hands to bite and continue screaming over until we pay, then its forgotten and we move on.
When it comes to style I'm a minimalist, you'll never catch me in anything over the top.
I tried this top on today and purchased it, naturally.
It's hard for me to find a great basic white button down.
I like to try to make my accessories the focal point of the outfit.
Small detailing also helps (gold buttons etc.)
I also make sure that I buy things that are classic and won't go out of style next season... I can't stress how important this is!
I am also extremely proud of my post baby body! I won't hide that fact...
I embrace my body a lot more now than I did before Reese.
I'm in a sizes much smaller (0-3 bottoms depending on brand and XS-S tops)
I work hard on a daily basis to achieve this with eating healthy (ehm I can never say no to sweets...) and making sure I stay active (It's not hard with a wild child like I have).
{Sample dinnner}
Baked chicken
4 oz chicken ( I weigh the chicken prior to cooking)
I've also recently decided.. as of two whole nights ago that I would start a Vintage Shop to share all of the beautiful clothing/accessories/ home goods that I find on my adventures.
There are a million things that I like to do each Fall.
Now that we have a little one it's turned into a million and one things.
You haven't lived until you've tried William Sonoma's Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Bars.
I can eat an entire pan by myself... I'm not proud of my actions.
{Pumpkin Carving}
I'm really looking forward to going to a pumpkin patch for the first time and picking the best pumpkin to decorate ourselves. Call me Martha Stewart ;)
{Apple Picking}
We are also planning on going up to an apple orchard in October so our Little can run around and pick apples.
I can't wait to use said apples in numerous recipes!
{World Market Pumpkin Spice Coffee}
I can't wait to brew my first cup of this coffee.. I'm so behind right now. The only excuse I have is a screaming hungry child and power walking out of World Market empty handed.
{Dreyer's Pumpkin Ice Cream}
Pumpkin Ice Cream, self explanatory...
{Jam Making}
We also will be picking berries while we are at the apple orchard.
I plan on trying to make homemade jam... sounds so good with scones and a cup of pumpkin spice goodness.
I will be making a trip up to South Coast Plaza this Saturday without my 22 pound meatball in tow which gives me plenty of opportunity to try new styles of clothing to get me out of my comfort zone of stripes, black and lace.
This will also be the longest that I will be away from my boy (4 whole hours) and I am so nervous! Someone please reassure me that all will be alright... he's a big boy now and it's good for him to spend time alone with his Daddy.
I will try to repeat that over and over to myself until Saturday.
{Frosted and waiting to be lit later that evening}
On Friday we celebrated Kye's birthday. Birthdays are an extremely big deal around here!
I attempted making a blue gradient birthday cake and as you all know I've recently shared that I am not a good cook, or anything even remotely close to this...
It almost pains me to show the results of a crumbling mess of a cake.
Kye said it tasted amazing and that's all that matters. I think the man loves me too much to hurt my feelings.
{Candles lit}
My boys also had to sit through my terrible version of the song 'Happy Birthday'
{Crumbling blue gradient cake attempt}
Sigh... I contemplated throwing it out and making a new one... Reese would not hear of this, he just wanted to jump on the cake, smash it to pieces and possibly get a bit in his mouth to taste and make a face over.
{Birthday celebrating dog!}
{The sweetest present on earth!}
{Birthday Balloons}
{Grass hopper we ran into on the way out to dinner}
I have unfortunately been fighting off a very bad cold for over a week now, so hopefully you'll find me back to my old witty self quite soon!
Today is also an important day, on this day eight whole months ago the light of our lives was born!
He is ready to take on the world, two feet at a time.
(If you would like the recipe to this cake, please feel free to ask, hopefully yours will turn out much better than my sorry attempt)
